In 1986, Dennon, a leading manufacturer of audio electronics, came out with the first Direct To CD recorder priced at $20,000. The product launch debut was held at Harvey's Electronics in New York City. Gary and Jazz group Spirogyra each performed a song that was recorded live for MTV, Local News stations and Media. The news flash for the event coined "First artists to be recorded Direct To CD!!!"
Gary's strong sense of spirituality and family values has proved a source of musical inspiration as well. Along with co-writers Jerry Keeley and Jenny Peters, the trio's original song, "Don't Close Your Eyes" was recorded in 1997 as part of a compilation CD produced by Harmony At Home, a non-profit organization that seeks to foster higher social awareness of the scourge of child abuse. "Don't Close Your Eyes" tells of how each and every one of us has an obligation to care for children, and expresses how "We need to do more than just sympathize".
In addition to writing music and jingles, Gary, throughout the years has been spotted around town on many occasions performing his music as well as performing with other artists. "I love the feeling of an audience", says Gary. "There is no greater pleasure than sharing yourself with a room full of people, most of which you don't know!". He also has been privileged to perform for live and televised events with Gloria Estefan, Michael Bolton, Rod Stewart and Enya.
